Variant Normalization
Clean handling of metal, gemstone, size, and configuration variants
CMS-Driven Governance
Payload CMS as a single source of truth for jewelry product data
The Problem
As the brand expanded its catalog, product data lived across multiple supplier APIs with inconsistent schemas. Manual data handling slowed launches, introduced errors, and created inconsistent PDP experiences, directly impacting conversion and SEO.

Key Challenges
- Inconsistent product attributes across suppliers
- Complex variants (metal, gemstone, size, configuration)
- Manual updates slowing iteration
- PDP clarity and trust signals degrading at scale
- Risk of SEO breakage during large updates

Our Approach
- 1
Define the Jewelry Data Model
We designed a jewelry-specific product schema that accounts for metals, gemstones, variants, and configurations across suppliers.
- 2
Integrate Supplier APIs
Multiple third-party supplier feeds were ingested and mapped into a unified normalization layer.
- 3
Enrich with AI
Titles, descriptions, metadata, and attributes were enhanced using AI to ensure consistency and clarity at scale.
- 4
Centralize in CMS
Payload CMS was implemented as the source of truth, enabling governance, iteration, and safe publishing.
- 5
Sync to Commerce
Clean product data was synced to Shopify without breaking SEO or live storefront performance.

System Architecture
We designed a normalized jewelry-specific data model that ingests supplier feeds, enriches them using AI, and distributes clean data across CMS and commerce layers, without disrupting SEO or live storefronts.
Pipeline Flow:
Supplier APIs → Normalization Layer → AI Enrichment → Payload CMS → Shopify → PDPs

Why This Matters for Conversion
Clean product data isn’t an ops problem, it’s a conversion problem. Clear attributes, consistent naming, and accurate variants reduce cognitive load for buyers and enable better targeting, cleaner PDPs, and more effective retargeting across high-AOV funnels.
